What to expect:
We're crazy... we add a new baby to the family and immediately pack everyone up to endure newborn photos, it's insanity if you think about it. But, also memories you will want for the rest of your life. Crazy is understandable, book the session anyway. Newborn Sessions are best when booked between 1-3 weeks old.
Here's the truth: Your newborn will probably cry, scream even. Do not panic... when you see your final images all you will see is the most perfect little human [+ no screaming]. See the images above? LOTS OF SCREAMING, but you have no idea. It's like magic.
I provide everything for your session, but here are things to consider:
// Nurse or feed your newborn as close to the start time of your session as possible.
// Take your baby down to only a diaper + wrap them in a warm blanket [this can happen before milk if your newborn loves to doze off during meal time].
// Bring a pacifier. I know, your newborn may not take one... but until they are cozy, it's always worth a shot. I do not provide these.
// Plan on additional meals for your newborn. Photo sessions always convince newborns to be hungrier than they've ever felt before.
// You are always welcome to follow me from prop to prop to watch the sweetness unfold... but it's also fully acceptable to fall asleep on the couch if you've been missing out on some Zzzz. I get it, my boys loved checking on me in the middle of the night ALL NIGHT LONG.
Turnaround time is typically 5-6 weeks during non-busy season [fall/winter newborns can expect slightly longer wait times]. Sneak peeks are included as freebies with all newborn sessions.
